Colour Play

StampinUp’s 2017-2019 In Colours are a blend of rich, subtle and brights!

I decided to play with the Eastern Palace Suite and the new in-colours…

Fresh Fig

Berry Burst

Lemon Lime Twist

Powder Pink

Tranquil Tide

I created the medallions and flower cut outs by using the  Eastern  Medallions Thinlits Dies.

The greeting is from the Eastern Beauty Stamp set.  If purchased together as a bundle you save 10%!

The centre of the flowers are faceted gems and white perfect accents.

Check out pp.18-19 for the suite of stamps, DSP and accessories.

This suite is definitely in my TOP 5 from the Annual Catalogue.

For these cards I used:

Fresh Florals DSP for the background

Layering Circles for the Black scallop and white circle behind the greeting

Happy Birthday Thinlit Die for the greeting and of course a bit of bling:

Rhinestones!

Perks of a Demonstrator

I often get asked what do you love about being a Stampin’UP! demonstrator?

Perk #1:  Card Swaps

Our group of demonstrators got together one sunny day and did a shoe box swap. The criteria was to feature a NEW stamp set from the NEW Annual Catalog.  We each designed a card and brought all the supplies so our fellow demonstrators could make the card we created.

Here is the card I designed for this swap:

I featured the Daisy Delight Stamp set, coordinating DSP and Mini Chevron Ribbon in Crushed Curry.

Here are the cards I made from the shoebox swap. There are so many wonderful designs,I hope to feature a few of them in my upcoming classes.

Sign up for my newsletter here to find out about my upcoming events, host a workshop or information on becoming a demonstrator.

Stamparama Swap Cards

June 2017, I participated in a card swap with fellow stampers at Stamparama.

This event is held in Southwestern Ontario. A great event to learn new techniques, meet friends, eat and great swag too!

Here are the cards I received in the swap. I hope to feature a few of them in future posts. The Dapper Denim card with paintbrushes is my original design. I really enjoyed using the watercolor pencils.

Sunday in the Sewing Room

I tried a new pinning technique and I was surprised at how quickly it went together. Ready for quilting!

Maggie our instructor had suggested a wavy line going vertically on the quilt. I am hoping to give it a try…keep you posted.

A great afternoon making cards! We used the painted petals stamp set and coordinating painted blooms DSP.

The photo paper card is from Adventure Bound DSP. I love tangerine and turquoise together and the triangles and feathers makes this a great all occasion for everyone!

Another Card Swap…

Another Card Swap…

Yes, another one. I took this opportunity to use the new in-colours:
Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple AND the Betsy Blooms stamp set-new this year too! So here you have it, drum roll please…

I made four of each of the colour ways for a total of 20 cards, I added a rhinestone to the middle of the flower, not sure if that shows up or not. I had a lot of fun making these, they are a simple card that I am hoping to showcase in one of my classes.

A Late Night with Tea…

A Late Night with Tea….

Well, we had this card swap you see… and I was trying to figure out my design and I just HAD to use this new designer paper from the Floral District Line (Let’s just say I LOVE, LOVE,LOVE IT!!) So, I filled up my carafe with tea and went crazy stamping into the wee hours of the night.

I like the colour combination of Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade on the DSP.

The richness of the Rich Razzleberry contrasted with the paleness of the Daffodil Delight really makes this DSP POP!

Here the are all 24 of them, phew what a night!!
I really like the Tea Shoppe Stamp set, hmm, I wonder if it has anything to do with liking tea?

Teacher Gifts

Here are some gifts I made for the kids teachers…

Something Special…

This photo was taken from the back of the room.

This photo was taken as you are walking down the stairs as you are coming into the room.
The flowers on the wall appear to be white in this picture, but they are actually clear and take on the colour of the wall.

A close up of my stamping organization!!
